Lettuce, Cerise Oak Leaf

New for 2012  Another excellent red oak leaf, great for salad mix. Vigorous and slow to bolt. Cerise means “cherry” in French. Seems to be fairly resistant to downy mildew. Dark-red pigmented anthocyanins fight the diseases of cold wet weather and provide good color contrast in mixes. An English commercial variety that we found in Ireland with Madeline McKeever of Brown Envelope Seeds.
