New for 2012  Mini butterhead with deep, dark-green leaves kissed with red. A unique combination that looks delicious. Crunchy sweet buttery heads are quick to size up and are great as a fall crop, holding well into winter if it doesn't get too cold. Good planted in the spring too. Originating in France and also known as Rougette de Montpellier. This is one of the originals in a whole class of lettuces just now becoming popular in the US.
