Surprise Sampler Seed Garlic

Softneck &/or Hardneck types

Can’t decide which variety to grow? Have limited garden space & would prefer smaller quantities of multiple types? Well, this is the option for you! Each 1/2 lb bag includes 3-5 bulbs, each a different variety of garlic. Some hardneck, some softneck. A good way to get to know a few different varieties & flavor profiles in one growing season. Each bulb is labeled with variety name & we promise to do our best to make sure no two bulbs are the same variety.

Specific varieties included in the Surprise Sampler are subject to availability.

Minimum bulb size for our seed garlic is 2 inches across. Average 5-8 bulbs per pound.

Seed grown by Avram Drucker of Garlicana in Tiller, Oregon.

Garlic is available now and ships through early February.

No international orders.

Separate cloves but do not peel. Plant each clove 2” deep, blunt end down, in mid-October. Space plants 6-8” apart in rows 1’ apart. Apply extra fertilizer in March.

Harvest bulbs in mid-July, when roughly 1⁄2 of the leaves are still green. Brush soil off of roots & hang in well-ventilated, shady spot to cure.

Select largest bulbs for seed to ensure large cloves the following year & eat the rest!
