Rudbeckia, Rustic Colors (Organic)

Rudbeckia hirta. 60-80 days. Perennial in zones 7-9.

Rudbeckia is usually referred to as Black-eyed Susan, but Rustic Colors is not your average Black-eyed Susan. Blooms profusely all summer long with 4” daisy-like flowers that range in color from yellow to orange, red and mahogany. Long stems contribute to its strength as a cut flower; blooms hold for a long time in a vase. The diversity within this variety is as eye-catching in bouquets as it is in the garden. Plants grow to 2′ tall, do well in partial to full sun, and can tolerate both wet and dry soil conditions. Blooms from spring through autumn. A selection of a North American native species that can naturalize but is not invasive. Usually grown as an annual in colder climates.
