2026 Seed Rack Program Details
Adaptive Seeds is a Certified Organic, farm-based seed company located near Sweet Home in Oregon’s beautiful Willamette Valley.
Each year we offer a limited number of wholesale Seed Rack Accounts to Retailers located in Oregon, Washington and California.
Our Seed Rack Program offers exclusively Certified Organic seeds, all grown in Oregon and Washington. The wide range of available offerings include popular classics as well as more unique varieties that are sure to complement those garden standbys and enhance overall garden diversity!
Our Seed Racks offer something for everyone!
We proudly offer over 200 varieties that you can mix and match to create a custom Seed Rack order designed with your precise needs in mind. Seed Rack ordering runs from December through September. Most locations see their best sales January thru March, so we highly encourage early ordering and mid-season restocks!
Seed Rack Displays
Wholesale Retailers may opt to use their own seed rack, or rent or purchase one of ours, pending availability. All rack rentals are first come, first served. If your store needs a rack, please let us know asap! We will provide up to 2 of each rack style per retail location.
Wooden rack rentals require a $200 refundable deposit and shall remain property of Adaptive Seeds. We reserve the right to invoice for unreturned or damaged wooden racks. Seed racks may be returned each year and the deposit refunded, or racks may be held over, with the deposit carried forward to the following year. Our 48 Variety Wire Rack is available for purchase for $170, with a Buyback Option (see below).
Free delivery is available for locations within a 2 hour driving distance of Sweet Home, Oregon. Retailers in need of a rack who are outside of our 2 hour delivery area can arrange for pick up at the farm, or simply opt to use a rack that is eligible for purchase and shipment.
Foam-board Adaptive Seeds Seed Rack header displays (see image above) are provided for all Wholesale Retailers, regardless of which rack type is used.

Along with the display signage, we also provide labeled, laminated color photos to accompany each variety your Seed Rack will display. These are to be affixed to the Rack. We will include as many photos as possible with your first order. Any missing photos will be sent along promptly.
Additionally, we offer free Adaptive Seeds stickers and informational trifold brochures to help round out your Rack display and increase interest. These can be added to your order at checkout
Please keep in mind that to ensure your seeds maintain quality germination rates, your Seed Rack should be displayed in a cool, dry location and should never be exposed to moisture or direct sunlight!

Seed Packets
Our seed packets have a recommended MSRP of $4.65 per packet.
The Wholesale Seed Rack price is 60% of our MSRP, or $2.79 per packet.
Our packets are white paper with black text. A label affixed to the front of each packet includes the Variety Name and a brief description, as well as the Lot number, Germination Rate, and “Packed for” year. NEW FOR 2026! Our packets now carry a UPC! All varieties carry the same code except for Ornamental Flower varieties which carry a separate code to differentiate them from our Edible Varieties (EBT eligible).

Ordering
Seed Rack orders must be placed via our website’s Wholesale Seed Rack Account portal. Each location will have one set of login credentials for the portal. Only Seed Rack varieties are visible and available for purchase once logged into a Wholesale Seed Rack Account.
Initial Order Minimum is Dependent on Rack Type:
48 Variety & Stores Providing Their Own Rack: 30 varieties
64 Variety Spin Rack: 64 varieties
100 Variety Rack: 70 varieties
Per Variety Minimum: 5 packets
Reorders Minimum: 40 packets
Please note that these are our minimums for Seed Rack orders, howeverdepending on your sales volume you will likely need to purchase more than these minimums. For efficiency (yours and ours!) we recommend placing fewer, larger orders each year instead of many small orders.
Shipping
All orders ship via USPS.
A $15 flat rate Shipping and Handling Fee is charged for each order.
Rack shipping (48 Variety Wire Rack only) varies by destination and will be invoiced along with the initial seed order.
Initial Orders ship within 10 business days of order receipt.
Reorders ship within 5 business days of order receipt.
Because January is our busiest month, we welcome preorders in December for January delivery. If you would like to preorder for a later delivery date, please let us know your preferred delivery date in the order comments when you place your order. Due to the unpredictability of USPS, we cannot guarantee delivery on a specific date, but we can get close!
Seed Rack ordering closes on September 1 each year, and will remain closed until we launch for the following seed year, usually mid to late December. Seed Rack account holders will be notified via email each year when the program re-opens for ordering.
Billing and Payment
In addition to Standard Net 30 invoicing, Wholesale Retailers have the option of completing their order via Credit Card at time of purchase on our website. A 3% Credit Card Surcharge will be added to all orders paid for via Credit Card.
Overdue balances are subject to a late fee of $15 per month, plus 1.5% finance charge.
Delinquent accounts may be subject to collections and/or termination of Wholesale Account status.
We reserve the right to require prepayment for accounts with a history of overdue balances.
End of Season Return & Buyback Policy
Seed Packet Buyback
Seed Packets must be sold or removed from the sales floor by the end of the “Packed for” year printed on the packets.
At the end of the season, accounts which have purchased at least 300 packets over the course of the season and submitted their initial order prior to March 1st, are eligible for Buyback. Buyback is limited to a maximum of 20% of your total packet order for the season. Additionally, Seed Packets must be returned in good condition to be Buyback eligible.
We begin accepting returns on September 1st and all Buyback Seed Packets must be returned by November 30. Please return Seed Packets well organized and in a condition suitable for donation, or any Credit or Refund will be forfeit. No loose seeds, please! 🙂
Buyback is offered as either Credit or Refund.
Buyback Credits are issued at 40% of the original wholesale purchase price of the seed packets. For 2026 this works out to $1.12/pkt. Credit is issued to account holders as digital coupon code, sent out when ordering is opened for the season, and is to be applied to the first order of the following season.
Buyback Refunds are issued via check as 30% of the original wholesale purchase price of the seed. For 2026 this works out to $0.84/pkt. Refunds are issued within 30 days of our processing your packet return.
Accounts with unpaid or overdue balances are not eligible for End of Season Buyback.
