Zinnia, Queeny Limes Party Mix (Organic)

Zinnia elegans. 70-80 days.

With its lime green highlights and soft overtones, the Queeny Lime series (aka, Queen Lime) took the cut flower market by storm when it was first introduced in the late 2010’s. Queeny Lime Orange received both All America Selection and Fleuroselect awards in 2018, and Queeny Lemon Peach won an AAS award in 2022. In addition to an innovative color palette, the Queeny series offers 3” wide, mostly double flowers with strong stems and good vase life. Sturdy plants grow to about 30” tall and produce late into the season. We decided to grow the series and let them cross pollinate freely, creating a Queeny Limes Party Mix. Partiers in the mix include ”Queeny Lime Mix”  “Queeny Orange Lime,” “Queeny Red Lime,” and “Queeny Lime Peach.” We skewed our seed saving efforts more towards the Lime, Orange Lime, and Lime Peach selections and away from the Red Lime; all varieties flowered together and were a favorite of bumble bees all season. Plant a patch and discover with us which colors are more dominant and what surprises await. If you want a “properly” curated mix, better head elsewhere ;).  Bred by Hugo Dittmar of Samen und Pflanzen in Switzerland.
