Tomato, Sweetie (Organic)
Solanum lycopersicum. Red Cherry. 65 days. Indet.
A good, reliable, sweet red cherry. If you’re looking for a classically delicious, productive and sweet cherry tomato, this is the easy choice. Fruit are 1-1½” in diameter. Skin is firm but not tough. Great for gardeners or for market production, as fruit are delicious right off the vine, productive, relatively firm and store well. A true basket filler that lives up to its name.
Sow indoors in flats with good potting soil as early as February, but no later than April. Keep warm and well-watered. Up pot seedlings into 4” pots once they have two true leaves. Transplant into the garden once danger of frost has passed.
Seed Saving
Collect seeds from ripe fruit by squeezing into a jar and add 25% more water. Wait a few days for mold to form. When seeds sink and gel-sac is gone, stir, add water, then decant and rinse to clean. Dry thoroughly. Tomatoes are mostly self-pollinating; isolation is not usually needed for seeds to be true to type.

Where did you grow this variety? Oregon
Really liked this cherry variety. Grew very well (I didn’t support well enough! Make sure to provide very sturdy support, it produces a lot of vines!). Lots of fruit all summer long. Very little splitting issues. And tasty!
